Kirkcaldy 3rd XV 48-29 2nd XV

Hot and sunny with a rock solid pitch Strathie arrived for a 2:00pm KO but the fifers had other plans.  The referee was not booked till 3:00pm so it was a good opportunity for the squad to have a run around and a game of touch.

Kirkcaldy started at a brisk pace and were a couple of tries up quite quickly but the blacks worked hard and  with 15 minutes to go we were in contention at 32-29 and in the ascendancy.  Kirkcaldy had a couple of flyers in the pack and they eventually broke through stretching their advantage when an awkward bounce caught the Strathie winger by surprise.
